Data Protection Consent Statement
Effective 1 December 2020
You hereby consent that Daniel Swarovski Corporation AG, Alte Landstrasse 411, 8708 Mannedorf, Switzerland or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries (“Swarovski”) processes your personal data in the course of the application process as set forth below.
You understand that by giving your consent, your consent is voluntary and that you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time by contacting corporatehr.communication@swarovski.com, subject to Swarovski’s other legal obligations.
Swarovski processes your personal data, including the following categories (“Your data”):
Information that you provide to us in the application process or information we have collected in the course of our interview and assessment process, including your name, contact information, qualifications and experience, previous employment, and competencies and skills (“Application data”).
Where relevant, in case of successful application, we will process the information you have shared with us for the purpose of initiating the business contact or for the purpose of performance of employment contract.
We do not generally ask for special categories of personal data, such as information on your race or ethnicity, political opinions, religious beliefs or health, as part of your Application data unless required by law. If you provide us with any of these special categories of personal data, you hereby explicitly consent to the processing of this data as well, as otherwise described herein.
Publicly available professional data about you, such as data that is published in business and employment related social websites (“Professional social network data”). To be clear, data that is contained in social networks or websites that are not professionally oriented, are not considered Professional social network data and therefore we will not process such data.
Login and account details of your third-party social media websites (“Login data”) if you volunteer to provide us with such data.
Swarovski processes Application and Social network data for the following purposes:
To process your application;
To assess qualifications and personal experience;
To provide you with information related to your application, and in order to make your application experience as supportive and effective as possible.
Swarovski processes your Login data for the following purposes:
To simplify the login process to the Swarovski Career website, or if you want to import social media profile information in the website.
To allow you to import your profile information contained in professional and employment oriented social networks into the Swarovski Career website.
We store your data for a period of one year from your most recent application unless we have other legal obligations that require us to retain the data for a longer period of time.
Swarovski reserves the right to share your Application data and Professional social network data with the Swarovski group company offering the relevant job position that you applied for, along with the respective recruiters and line/HR managers responsible for making the hiring decision. Swarovski also reserves the right to share your Application data and Professional social network data with other Swarovski group companies and HR/line managers for other positions in the event that you are not successful in the position for which you originally applied. In addition, Swarovski may contract with third party service providers, such as data processors to support Swarovski in processing and using Your data, including but not limited to, IT support.
Given the global scope and reach of the Swarovski group, it may be that recipients of Your data may be located in countries outside of the European Union and the European Economic Area, where the same level of data protection may not be in place. In such cases, Swarovski will take all measures to comply with legal requirements, including but not limited to, EU Standard contract clauses, implementing binding corporate rules, and assuring protective and legal shields are in place. If you have any questions about the legal safeguards in place you may contact Dataprivacy@swarovski.com. You may access certain Application Data via the Candidate Home Account that was part of the application process and update the information as appropriate. You may also have additional rights to access your data including but not limited to the right to obtain rectification, erasure, restrictions, and a copy of the data.

We will always use our best efforts to respond to your questions and concerns. In addition, you have the right to approach the relevant data protection authority with your request or complaint. The competent authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (http://www.edoeb.admin.ch).
It is further understood that by using the Swarovski Career website, all information and data that you provide is true, up to date and complete. You will also ensure that you inform Swarovski of any changes in Your data. Swarovski reserves the right to exclude your application if you provide false, misleading, inaccurate or incomplete statements or omissions. Finally, you agree that any offer of employment as a result of the application process is conditioned upon you having and maintaining the required work permit in the country for which you are hired; and you expressly confirm that you are either at least 18 years of age and thus fully capable of acting, or that your parent or legal guardian's consent has been obtained.
