Circus-Theater Roncalli presents

“Circus of Asia” at Swarovski Kristallwelten

From July 11 to August 24, 2025, Swarovski Kristallwelten and Circus-Theater Roncalli will present the “Circus of Asia”, a celebration of Asian circus arts. The circus will display outstanding acrobatic performances, traditional costumes, music, and decorations, while an on-site calligrapher will paint visitors’ names in Asian characters.

Explore the Kristallwelten Gardens

The Carousel

Built in partnership with award-winning artist-designer Jaime Hayon, the Carousel is an interactive attraction adorned with 15 million Swarovski Crystals. The striking monochrome color scheme contrasts with the lush greenery of the gardens, and seamlessly blends contemporary styling with nostalgic appeal. Climb aboard seats inspired by characters from folklore and fairy tales to experience an entirely unique ride.

Prologue III

Larger than life, Prologue III by Fredrikson Stallard combines a patinated steel frame with a veil of droplets crafted from Swarovski Crystals. The piece mimics water’s simple beauty,  yet is delightfully complex in its creation, highlighting the circularity of nature and the interplay between light and water.

Crystal Cloud & Mirror Pool

Enjoy a moment of reflection at the Crystal Cloud, which drifts above the Mirror Pool with mesmerizing effect. With a surface area of approximately 1,400 square meters, this mystical masterpiece is the largest work of its kind in the world and features 800,000 hand-mounted Swarovski Crystals. Follow the path down to the Mirror Pool to discover the innumerable fireflies that flit and dance through the air.

Airs & Graces

Airs and Graces is a thought-provoking sculpture by Georg Herold. The artist is known for using industrial materials like roof timbers and bricks to provide a provocative counterpoint to luxury goods like caviar and indeed crystals. His sketch-like human figures show how civilization has influenced humanity, while also highlighting the intriguing connection between natural and man-made beauty.

Der Riese

Im Jahr 1995 schuf der Multimediakünstler André Heller zum hundertjährigen Jubiläum von Swarovski eine Welt der Wunder. Als thematischen Mittelpunkt erschuf Heller die Swarovski Kristallwelten in Form eines Riesen. Und er erdachte die Geschichte des Riesen, der ausgezogen war, um die Welt mit allen ihren Schätzen und Wundern zu erleben. Mit diesem Wissen setzte sich der Riese in Wattens in Tirol zur Ruhe und „wacht“ seither über seine Wunderkammern.

Neue Wunderkammern

Zwei neue Wunderkammern, entworfen vom preisgekrönten Künstler Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, sind in den Swarovski Kristallwelten eingezogen. Jeder Raum bietet ein einzigartiges, immersives Erlebnis, das durch Klang, Licht und Bewegung die Verbindung zwischen Kristallen und Menschen erforscht. Emotional, interaktiv und voller Glanz des Swarovski Savoir-faire.

Crystallizing Identity

„Crystallizing Identity“ von Chiharu Shiota, neu installiert in den Kristallwelten, lädt Besucherinnen und Besucher dazu ein, zu erkunden, was es bedeutet, Mensch zu sein. Die renommierte japanische Künstlerin hat zum ersten Mal Kristalle in ihr Werk integriert und nutzt das facettenreiche Material, um zu ergründen, wie wir kompromisslos authentisch bleiben und gleichzeitig tiefe, ehrliche Verbindungen zu anderen Menschen aufbauen.

Umbra by James Turrell

An avant-garde art installation by renowned artist James Turrell, Umbra plays with light and colour to create an immersive space that is soft yet immersive. The piece is sure to ignite your imagination and encourage you to see the world differently.
