As the fastest land animals on earth, cheetahs need a lot of space for hunting, to be able to reach their top speeds, charge their prey, and make swift turns. Human farmland expansion reduces this greatly, affecting the species and putting their survival at risk. And while cheetahs are not picky settlers, happily at home anywhere from dry forests to the Sahara desert, they fail to thrive in protected areas because they cannot compete with larger predators.
This leaves the magnificent purring cat in a very vulnerable position. Which is why now, more than ever, is the time to celebrate their beauty, recognise what is slipping from our grasp, and put cheetahs in the spotlight.

Contrairement aux versions précédentes, à l’instar du guépard Mehira issu de l’Édition annuelle SCS naturaliste, cette création proposée en exemplaires limités n’est pas axée sur le pelage si singulier de l’animal. Martin Zendron, créateur artistique, a souhaité mettre entièrement de côté cette caractéristique pour s’intéresser plus particulièrement à l’anatomie et la silhouette extraordinaire du félidé.

Son dos légèrement courbé, sa queue basse, sa tête scrutant l'horizon… Le guépard est ici majestueusement capturé en plein mouvement. Son corps svelte et musclé et ses longues pattes laissent deviner sa capacité à atteindre des vitesses vertigineuses, et son tout nouvel effet Savane vient accentuer sa magnifique palette de couleurs.

D’une hauteur de 20 cm et d’une longueur de 40 cm, cette création honore non seulement la splendeur de l’animal, mais également sa force et sa fragilité.
