Starring in the world premiere of Gianna Reisen’s ballet ‘Play Time’, with music composed by Solange Knowles, the dancers honored our mastery of light, savoir-faire, and enduring support of the arts with a spectacular and dynamic performance.
Individual Brilliance
Each costume features vivid tonal shades, ranging from royal purple and mustard yellow to black and white. These eye-catching new designs were joined on stage by crystallized pieces from the archive – a wondrous link between past and present.
From Head to Pointed Toe
Arranged in vertical lines, the crystallized transfers draw the eye to each dancer’s exquisite lines as they dance across the floor. Catching the light with every movement, the stones add a dazzling dimension to the company’s performance.

Swarovski has enjoyed a long history of collaboration with the worlds of dance and theater. Working with passionate creatives to bring their vision to life through crystals. Since 2012, our team has crafted more than 40 costumes for the New York City Ballet alone.
