Our founder, Daniel Swarovski, was a visionary pioneer. In 1895, as well as creating a revolutionary method for crystal cutting, he established farsighted principles of fairness for communities and the environment that still guide our business today. We understand that Swarovski’s ongoing success depends on our continued respect for Daniel’s principles. They help us consider our responsibilities in terms of generations, not just quarters, and they provide a platform towards our goal of sustainable leadership.

People are our most valuable asset. They help us maintain our bold ambition and visionary attitude, paving the way to a brighter future. Their work enables us to deliver a diverse and innovative portfolio of unmatched quality, craftsmanship and creativity. We are proud of our work supporting external communities through the Swarovski Foundation and the Swarovski Waterschool.

We understand that detailed monitoring of our environmental footprint allows us to conserve energy, lower emissions, and manage our resource use. We are committed to ongoing innovation in our supply chain and investigating new ways to source, manufacture, and distribute our products so that we can continue to minimize our footprint.

We want our products to positively impact people and the planet across every step of their journey. We are committed to offering the most responsible crystal and lab-grown gemstones, which are responsibly sourced and crafted with care. Externally, we aspire to change attitudes across jewellery and fashion through our pioneering work on Conscious Design.

Since the company was founded in 1895, five generations of the Swarovski family have upheld a commitment to philanthropy and charitable giving. Caring for people and the planet, quality, craftsmanship and creativity remains at the heart of our values, and today we build on this heritage through our philanthropic programs.

The Swarovski Foundation was established in 2013 to support charitable initiatives and organizations working in three areas: fostering culture and creativity, promoting human empowerment and preserving the environment.

“We can only create great things by working together.” Daniel Swarovski

We recognize we cannot tackle today’s global challenges alone. Partnerships between individuals, companies, and organizations are fundamental to collectively finding solutions to issues such as climate change, social inequality, and natural resource depletion. Swarovski is committed to collaboration through global initiatives such as the United Nations Global Compact, the Women’s Empowerment Principles, and BSR’s Business Action for Women as well as working towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals by being a member of Sustainable Brands and planning to merge our existing Responsible Jewellery Council [RJC] certifications to hold one RJC certification representing the entire Swarovski Crystal Business in 2021.
Our Sustainability Agenda contributes to a range of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
