Data Protection Consent Statement

The Swarovski Career platform is provided by Workday Limited, a company registered in Dublin, Ireland.
You hereby consent that Swarovski International Holding AG, Alte Landstrasse 411, 8708 Mannedorf, Switzerland or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries (“Swarovski”) processes your personal data during the application process as set forth below.
Swarovski International Holding AG and, if applicable, the entity offering the position you apply to is considered acting as “data controllers,” which means these entities determine “why” and “how” your personal data is processed.
You understand that by giving your consent, your consent is voluntary and that you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time by contacting corporatehr.communication@swarovski.com, subject to Swarovski’s other legal obligations.
Categories of personal data processed
Swarovski processes your personal data, including the following categories (“Your data”):
- Information that you provide to us in the application process or information we have collected during our interview and assessment process, including your name, contact information, qualifications and experience, education, previous employment, competencies and skills (“Application data”).
- Where relevant, in case of successful application, we will process the information you have shared with us for the purpose of initiating the business contact or for the purpose of performance of employment contract. Please note that in the event your application is successful and you accept an offer of employment from us, any processing of your personal data carried out from this moment on is subject to a separate privacy policy dedicated to employees that will be provided to you in due time.
- We do not generally ask for special categories of personal data, such as information on your race or ethnicity, political opinions, religious beliefs, or health, as part of your application data unless required by law. If you provide us with any of these special categories of personal data, you hereby explicitly consent to the processing of this data as well, as otherwise described herein.
- Publicly available professional data about you, such as data that is published in business and employment related social websites (“Professional social network data”). To be clear, data that is contained in social networks or websites that are not professionally oriented, are not considered Professional social network data and therefore we will not process such data.
- Login and account details of your third-party social media websites (“Login data”) if you volunteer to provide us with such data.
Purposes of the processing
This Data Protection Consent Statement applies where Swarovski accesses, collects, stores, processes, uses, discloses or transfers your personal information in paper or electronic form for the purpose of our recruitment process.
Swarovski collects with your consent your Application and Social network data and subsequently processes Application and Social network data for the following purposes:
- To process your application.
- To assess qualifications and personal experience.
- To provide you with information related to your application, and to make your application experience as supportive and effective as possible.
- To send you a survey on the recruitment process.
- To automatize certain recruitment activities: Swarovski receives a large volume of candidate information for certain opportunities. To help us reviewing large quantities of applications received, We may use data analytics and algorithms helping us prioritizing the applications review process and sort candidates based on Application data that suggests a higher match with our requirements, capabilities and skills needed to successfully perform the position. Swarovski processes with your consent your Login data for the following purposes:
- To simplify the login process to the Swarovski Career website, or if you want to import social media profile information in the website.
- To allow you to import your profile information contained in professional and employment oriented social networks into the Swarovski Career website.
Use of cookies on Swarovski Career platform
The Swarovski Career platform relies on cookies. Most of the cookies used on the Swarovski Career platform are strictly essentials and required to allow the platform to function properly. To learn more about how we use cookies, please read our Privacy Policy available at www.swarovski.com.
In addition, if you choose to submit your application using LinkedIn, you are consenting to the third-party cookies by LinkedIn. Data retention
We store your data for a period of one year from your most recent application unless we have other legal obligations that require us to retain the data for a longer period.
Transfer of your personal data
Swarovski reserves the right to share your application data and Professional social network data with the Swarovski group company offering the relevant job position that you applied for, along with the respective recruiters and line/HR managers responsible for making the hiring decision. Swarovski also reserves the right to share your application data and Professional social network data with other Swarovski group companies and HR/line managers for other positions if you are not successful in the position for which you originally applied. In addition, Swarovski may contract with third party service providers, such as data processors to support Swarovski in processing and using Your data, including but not limited to, IT support.
Given the global scope and reach of the Swarovski group, it may be that recipients of Your data may be located in countries/regions outside of the European Union and the European Economic Area, where the same level of data protection may not be in place. As far as reasonable, Swarovski will transfer Your data to countries/regions recognized as guaranteeing an adequate level of data protection. If Your data need to be transferred abroad in countries/regions not providing such an adequate level of protection, less stringent data protection rules may apply. If Your data is disclosed to countries/regions that do not guarantee adequate protection, SWAROVSKI will ensure that data disclosed is adequately protected and transferred in accordance with current legally recognized data transfer mechanisms, such as appropriate standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (see https://commission.europa.eu/publications/standard-contractual-clauses-international-transfers_en) or required revisions thereof (e.g Switzerland)), binding corporate rules, or transferring data pursuant to consent, conclusion or performance of a contract, or in connection with the determination, exercise or enforcement of legal claims, or pursuant to overriding public interests, or in order to protect the integrity of these individuals. You can obtain a copy of the contractual guarantees from us or will be advised where to obtain such copies. SWAROVSKI reserves the right to redact such copies for applicable legal or secrecy reasons. You may access certain Application Data via the Candidate Home Account that was part of the application process and update the information as appropriate. You may also have additional rights to access your data including but not limited to the right to obtain rectification, erasure, restrictions, and a copy of the data.

Your rights regarding your personal information
Subject to the applicable data protection laws, you may be entitled to one or more of the following rights and to exercise them on your own or via a legal representative acting on your behalf. You may have the right of access, rectification and erasure of your personal data as well the right to withdraw your consent, right to restriction of processing and to personal information portability. Also, you may have the right to object to processing, not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your personal information infringes applicable law.
