Liefdevolle eenlingen
Jachtluipaarden staan erom bekend toegewijde moeders te zijn. Ze brengen hun nestjes van drie tot vier welpen zonder hulp van een mannetje groot. Hoewel dit niet verwonderlijk is omdat vrouwtjes liever buiten hun coalitie leven, maakt dit de taak er niet gemakkelijker op.

Dit kan lastig zijn omdat jachtluipaarden relatief kleine roofdieren zijn en prooi vangen voor meerdere jongen een hele onderneming is. En toch geven ze niet op: liefde overwint alles.
