치앙마이 청년과 지역사회에 권한을 주다

이 수원은 지역 인구 1/5이 종사하는 농업은 물론, 식량 안보를 지원하고 있습니다. 그러나 물 부족 및 오염 위험이 존재하는 이 같은 상황에서 이러한 귀중한 자원을 보호함으로써 공동체의 생존과 삶의 방식을 보호하는 것이 매우 중요한 상황입니다.
Raks Thai Foundation과의 협업 하에 시행되는 스와로브스키 재단 워터스쿨 프로그램은 지역의 이해 관계자와 청소년들과 협력하여 수자원의 중요성에 대한 인식을 증진하고 지역사회에 권한을 부여해 해당 지역에서 지속 가능한 수자원 관리 관행을 개선합니다. 이 같은 조치는 지역사회 생계 보호 뿐만 아니라 수자원 관련 위기에 대한 회복력을 구축해 차세대를 위한 지속 가능한 미래를 만들어가는 데 도움을 주고 있습니다.
2016년 이래로 워터스쿨 프로그램은 태국 내 19개 학교 및 지역사회에서 3,000명 이상의 아동을 교육하여 상당한 영향력을 선사했습니다. 프로그램은 또한 5,000명 이상의 지역사회 구성원의 참여를 이끌어 200명 이상의 교사들에게 귀중한 교육을 제공해 차세대를 위한 수자원 관련 주제 교육에 필요한 도구, 지식을 제공할 수 있었습니다.
앞으로 스와로브스키 재단은 지역 교육구 사무소와의 협업 하에 워터스쿨 교육과정의 범위를 해당 지역의 전체 교육구로 넓혀갈 예정입니다.
Swarovski Foundation in Thailand
Title:In November 2022, the Swarovski Foundation visited Thailand to meet with its long-standing partners, Raks Thai Foundation and Teach for Thailand.
The purpose of the visit was to engage with key stakeholders and raise awareness of the Swarovski Foundation's initiatives in Thailand. Rather than just providing financial support, it was important to empower individuals and inspire them to become advocates for the Swarovski Foundation's mission, encouraging them to promote sustainable livelihoods through education to reduce inequality.
The activities included attending presentations at Swarovski Manufacturing Thailand, stakeholder engagement with students, teachers, and charity partners, volunteering at a Teach for Thailand school, and, of course, monitoring the Waterschool project.
By engaging with key stakeholders, raising awareness, and actively participating in activities, the visit deepened the Swarovski Foundation’s connections with local communities and highlighted the tangible impact of each initiative. Through these educational efforts, the Swarovski Foundation and its partners continue working to reduce inequality.
