De majestueuze Mississippi
Title:Dicht bij de rivier wonen
Subtitle:De Mississippi-rivier is een van de grootste rivieren ter wereld. Deze rivier stroomt door of langs tien staten in de VS en speelt al zolang er mensen in het gebied wonen een belangrijke rol in de culturele, economische en sociale structuur van het leven op het Noord-Amerikaanse continent. Ook vandaag de dag is de Mississippi voor veel gemeenschappen in de regio nog steeds onmisbaar. De rivier ondersteunt de lokale landbouw, vormt een bron van schoon drinkwater en fungeert als belangrijke verkeersader voor commercieel transport en handel.
Hierdoor was het de perfecte locatie voor de oprichting van het eerste Swarovski Foundation Waterschool-project in de VS in 2016, met als officiële partner het National Great River Research and Education Center (NGRREC).

Waterschool 營隊活動

Subtitle:
Waterschool 營隊活動為學生及其導師提供了一個為期一週的機會，讓他們身臨其境地扮演水域生態學家的角色。在營隊活動期間，營隊成員將參加各種科學探索和大自然體驗活動，例如：水質採樣、溯溪、製作排水溝標語、水上活動、藝術和手工藝製作，以及戶外探險。這些活動有助於培養批判性思維，以及對環境保護的深度承諾。
教育工作者研討會

Subtitle:
每一年，美國 Waterschool 都會舉辦一系列的教育工作者研討會，向教師傳授必要的知識、工具和資源，以便將與水資源有關的主題納入教學課程。透過讓課堂學習和社區科學活動之間有了密切的連結，這些研討會有助於激發學生的好奇心，提升他們對水資源和環境問題的認知。

It’s not just those on the ground who have made a big impact. In the summer of 2023, Swarovski VIP members had the opportunity to bid on an extraordinary Elephant Hekima sculpture. The winning bid prompted a $15,000 donation – with all proceeds going directly to the Swarovski Foundation Waterschool program in the Mississippi watershed.
