From Hydropower to Net Zero
Our commitment to climate action began more than a century ago. Since 1895, Swarovski has used hydropower from the local river to run its crystal production, building the first of our four hydropower plants in 1907. This focus on energy innovation continued over the decades and, in 2021, led us to set science‑based emissions reduction targets, now reinforced by our net‑zero commitment. We are advancing our climate efforts by enhancing energy efficiency and increasing the share of renewables throughout our operations and supply chain.
Progress Highlights

Our greenhouse gas emissions have decreased by 54% compared to our 2019 baseline, with reductions achieved across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.

We have strengthened our climate commitment by pledging to set long-term emissions reduction targets aligned with reaching net zero by 2050.

We continue to transition to renewable energy wherever possible. Renewable sources accounted for 35% of our total energy mix in 2025. Swarovski sources 100% renewable electricity at our own manufacturing sites, complemented by the usage of hydropower and solar facilities.

Swarovski Created Diamonds Eternity, Galaxy and Octagon collections, made with laboratory grown diamonds, are 100% recycled gold and silver and produced using 100% renewable energy.
