Title:Vivre à proximité d’un fleuve
Subtitle:Le Mississipi est l’un des plus grands fleuves au monde. Ce sont pas moins de dix États américains qui évoluent culturellement, économiquement et socialement aux abords du fleuve. Aujourd'hui, la survie de nombreuses communautés dépend du fleuve : agriculture, source d’eau potable ou encore en tant que voie de communication pour le transport et les échanges commerciaux.
L’endroit était donc tout indiqué pour lancer en 2016 le premier projet Waterschool États-Unis de la Fondation Swarovski, en collaboration avec le National Great River Research and Education Center (NGRREC).

Waterschool 營隊活動
Title:成為水域生態學家
Subtitle:
Waterschool 營隊活動為學生及其導師提供了一個為期一週的機會，讓他們身臨其境地扮演水域生態學家的角色。在營隊活動期間，營隊成員將參加各種科學探索和大自然體驗活動，例如：水質採樣、溯溪、製作排水溝標語、水上活動、藝術和手工藝製作，以及戶外探險。這些活動有助於培養批判性思維，以及對環境保護的深度承諾。
教育工作者研討會
Title:提升對水資源和環境保護的認知
Subtitle:
每一年，美國 Waterschool 都會舉辦一系列的教育工作者研討會，向教師傳授必要的知識、工具和資源，以便將與水資源有關的主題納入教學課程。透過讓課堂學習和社區科學活動之間有了密切的連結，這些研討會有助於激發學生的好奇心，提升他們對水資源和環境問題的認知。

80+ teachers provided with water education activity kits
56 schools provided with sanitation and hygiene supplies
It’s not just those on the ground who have made a big impact. In the summer of 2023, Swarovski VIP members had the opportunity to bid on an extraordinary Elephant Hekima sculpture. The winning bid prompted a $15,000 donation – with all proceeds going directly to the Swarovski Foundation Waterschool program in the Mississippi watershed.
