How long does it take to make a laboratory grown diamond?
The two methods of making diamonds in a laboratory work at similar speeds. One is Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and the other is High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT). The size of diamond being grown will determine the time it takes, but as a guide, a one-carat diamond grows in about two weeks. Larger stones may take up to three months to complete.
