An immersive experience, a retrospective exhibition, a vision of the future, Masters of Light - From Vienna to Shanghai is the first
exploration of the heritage and revolutionary spirit of one of the oldest European luxury brands.
Through a unique and panoramic scenography, divided into seven Chambers of Wonder, every visitor will be taken on a journey from 19th Century Vienna - where Daniel Swarovski was first inspired to redefine the creation of crystal - to
21st Century Shanghai, and beyond.
Future History
Each represents a vision of the future conversing with history, united by their innovative approach to Swarovski Crystal. Embracing new methodologies and cherishing tradition in a unique symbiosis, Swarovski’s continuing creative exchange with international fashion houses represents a fusion of heritage and invention.

Swarovski partage une riche histoire de complicité avec de nombreux artistes contemporains internationaux. Pour célébrer l’exposition Masters of Light - de Vienne à Shanghai, Swarovski a collaboré avec l'artiste pékinois Tian Xiaolei pour la création d'œuvres d'art numériques. Tian s'inspire des cristaux Swarovski pour les réinterpréter sur un tout nouveau support. Sa série d'œuvres d'art Myth présente alors des formes hybrides de l’homme-machine ; une vision, éminemment contemporaine, d’une humanité future. Cristaux Swarovski et limbes fusionnent ici dans une vision d’anatomie reinventée.

Title:Masters of Light - de Vienne à Shanghai a pour la première fois été présentée au Musée d'art contemporain de Shanghai. C’est car elle incarne l’esprit unique de Swarovski, par son statut de métropole internationale, symbole d'avenir et, paradoxalement, de respect des traditions, que Shanghai a été choisie comme lieu d’inauguration.
