Inside a striking mirrored installation by renowned Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, Shota discovers a rotating chandelier adorned with Swarovski Crystals. Here, visitors are reflected in fragments, creating a surreal experience of being in a space with no end.

Pulse Voronoi
A light and sound artwork that explores the uniqueness of individuals and the universal origins we share, this installation by prominent Mexican-Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer fuses science and art to captivating effect. Shota is immersed in 7,000 crystal shards that pulse in sync with his heartbeat and that of all visitors. Illuminated by the power of connection, the crystals form a glittering display.

In the final chamber, Shota explores a celebration of the many facets of Swarovski’s legacy, from the early innovations to the enduring impact on pop culture. Juxtaposing nostalgia, history, and technology, the area invites visitors to contemplate the passage of time and lose themselves in the moment. The Manufaktur in Wattens is home to the artistry and innovation that has come to define Swarovski. It is here that the passions passed down from the House’s founder, Daniel Swarovski, to the crystal experts of today, continue to shine brightest. The Manufaktur is open for select private tours only.
Origins of the House
At the Manufaktur entrance, Shotaa sits beside a vintage crystal cutting machine, carefully preserved for more than one hundred years. Invented by Daniel Swarovski, the machine enabled him to successfully master high precision crystal cutting. Today, Swarovski uses machines developed in-house as well as those created by trusted partners to exacting specifications.

With new crystal cuts, colors, and sizes being continually produced and perfected, Swarovski Manufaktur is renowned for pushing the boundaries of technical creativity. Crystal experts also work tirelessly to develop processes and materials that support the House’s sustainability initiatives.
A Legacy of Elegance
The Vienna Opera Ball is one of Austria’s premier cultural highlights. Amidst the historic glow of the capital’s Opera House, debutantes wear tiaras crafted by Swarovski. Shota studies holds the 2025 tiara, designed by Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert. Shaped with feather-like curves, the piece pays homage to the Swarovski Swan emblem and 130 years of spellbinding savoir-faire.
Illuminating Pop Icons
Shota gets a close-up of a replica of the jumpsuit worn by Harry Styles at the 2023 Grammy Awards. Crafted from Swarovski Crystal Mesh and embellished with 250,000 crystals in nine different colours, Harry’s choice to wear it to the music awards is the perfect reflection of the House’s influence on pop culture.
