Whether its gallons of coffee, walking for hours, pulling all-nighters, or organizing your time down to the last second, everyone has their own way of stimulating creativity. I recently discovered with great curiosity all the little rituals, habits, superstitions and different organizational methods that make up this book.
It examines 161 of the world’s greatest artists, novelists, and composers and avoids all the traditional clichés about creative geniuses who love to impose the most difficult constraints on themselves. Rather, each has their own unique and personal method of organizing their daily life. I really enjoyed the variation and diversity in the different approaches, these “rituals” that are sometimes revealed in all their oddness. Both inspiring and fascinating!
