Alabaster Pendant - Auburn Necklace
My ideal jewelry combination? A mix of impulse buys from designers from around the world because I know that I will wear them forever, pieces bought for me by my husband, a few bits of Swarovski jewelry with a touch of subtle, refined sparkle, and some old family jewels. I like to build my jewelry box like a treasure trove of beautiful, timeless pieces. I prefer big, bold jewelry as it really completes my look.
My style is based on two main themes that I absolutely love. One is tribal chic, not too boho or multicolored but more block color combinations. The second is fluid, twenties-inspired pieces with long, elegant chains in metal or nude tones.
My color palette is normally browns, neutral colors, and dark metallics that lend a mysterious effect.
In terms of sparkle, I like it to be muted or disrupted by pairing it with a contrasting material like ebony, ivory, amber, resin, or natural stones.
My greatest jewelry extravagance? When I was 30 years old, I once spent the whole of my salary on a Masai-inspired olivine necklace by Dior, the same piece that Charlize Theron wears in gold in the “J’Adore” fragrance ad campaign.
