When I first saw Noémie’s work, I immediately fell in love with it. Ephemeral, poetic, and sparkling body art that has a lot in common with my role as Creative Director. I create jewelry to reflect and reveal the personality of the wearer. Noémie, similarly, does not know where or who she will be working on in advance. Instead, she lets herself be guided by the person who she is painting. Filled with wonderful spontaneity, it is the beauty of the moment that provides her creativity. She learned the craft of textile design at the Olivier de Serres school. which forged her propensity for exploring different sensations and textures. As a result, Noémie’s work combines flocking with matte and iridescent sequins. And her little nod to crystals? Choupis says she is fascinated by the shimmer of light they create on the skin. Introduced to body art by the “9ème Concept” collective, she collaborated with them to produce artistic body painting performances. She went on to work with a number of tattooists, mesmerized by the canvas that is the body, which gives life to her work as her subject moves. Today she is a make-up artist, illustrator, and haute couture textile designer.
