I absolutely love visiting Tokyo, even if it is just for a few hours! This bustling city knows exactly how to combine tradition with modernity, which is precisely what I love doing in my job. I am plunged into the virtual, high-tech world of Akihabara, which is filled with neon lights and giant screens that unashamedly light up the famous Shibuya crossing. It gives me the chance to recharge my batteries in the beautiful Zen gardens, the historic Asakusa district, and intimate restaurants where chefs prepare raw fish with exact science.
I find inspiration in the rich fabrics of the traditional kimonos and the creativity of concept stores during my shopping trips to Aoyama, Minato-ku, and Daikanyama, my particular favorite, not to mention the edgy influence of the wonderfully experimental looks that can be seen in Harajuku. Fashion moves quickly in Tokyo, and even more so for accessories! Omotesando is a must-see as a showcase for international brands, and Ginza remains the home of chic, with its superstores whose basements are filled with Japanese delicacies that I love to take home with me to Paris.
