From the magical and majestic tree outside the Rockefeller Center in New York to the fairytale tree under the dome of the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, the Swarovski Christmas star has already adorned some of the most beautiful Christmas trees around the globe.
Created for the first time in 1991, it changes every year and is inspired by the shape of a snowflake or a star. Produced in clear crystal, this iconic Swarovski piece uses our best faceting techniques to shine a little brighter every time! It took my team nearly nine weeks of work to design the 2013 star with its 216 facets. The star is always produced as a limited edition and has become our customers’ favorite item, so much so that many even collect them. Whether you prefer a classic Christmas in red and gold or opt for a more contemporary theme, it always adds a touch of essential magic! Follow me on Twitter throughout December to discover more creative, sparkling trees from all over the globe!
