Swarovski By Shourouk Blue Cuff
Who? My name is Yamila, I’m 53, and I work as an Artistic Consultant.
My style is really ethnic-chic. African, Asian, and Middle Eastern inspirations are everywhere in my home and reflect my collector’s side, and I often tend to mirror these in my looks.
I really love layering in my outfits. I like to go for elegant, longline, and fluid pieces like a tunic over pants, long coats, and relaxed knits.
I usually focus on a single yet sophisticated color, such as browns, neutral tones, and reds. Sometimes I’ll go for a graphic element in the pattern, color, or shoes – but it’s always on trend.
My style in three looks:
- Red Odalisque! This look is all about layering patterns, almost as if in the style of an Oriental rug. Delicate motifs and trims captured in print on a scarf or kimono, paired with opulent necklaces and ruby rings.
- Silver stacking: a sparkling embroidered sequin crop top with a cluster of bangles over a minimal silk dress.
- Umber Art Deco: I’ll go for a bold print all over, softened with a tulle longline cardigan and wooden maxi jewelry with an African-inspired feel.
