It’s Australian Fashion Week. An intense but exciting moment that would not have been possible without the unwavering support of Olivia Wagner, our super efficient and wonderful PR representative.
She brought all her expertise and understanding to help me sort out my schedule, juggling meetings, interviews, fittings, and shows.

In the middle of all this commotion, I had the great pleasure of being able to meet and exchange ideas with fashion editors who I’d previously crossed paths with in Paris. Notably Justine Cullen, the sparkling Editor-in-Chief of Elle Australia, as well as the stylish and lovely teams from Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Shop til you drop, Fashion Trend…

This Fashion Week was also our first opportunity to show the Swarovski jewelry collection for Fall/Winter 2014-15.

I was completely charmed by the stunning Shanina Shaik, who opened and closed our show. From runways for Victoria’s Secret to Swarovski, she moves with grace and sensuality, her silhouette made all the more striking by her wonderfully eclectic heritage (Lithuanian, Pakistani, and Australian). And what’s more, she is so nice!

The cast of models was made up of gorgeous beauties with equally strong personalities, radiant young women with such individual and unique identities. Ajak Deng, with her slinky feline silhouette and irresistible smile, was the perfect choice to model a Crystal Mesh dress embellished with emerald stones, her favorite color.

Alexandra Agoston, glorious with her endless legs, lent a mystery to our pieces by playing with transparency, whilst Fatima Siad, an up-and-coming talent, displayed all the elegance of her Somali roots on the runway. Louise van de Vorst also honored us by taking part, a rare and greatly appreciated occurrence during this Fashion Week. Also excited to take part were Elle Brittain, Shanali Martin, and Ella Verberne, who made beautiful models.

But it was two male talents, Australian twins Zac and Jordan Stenmark, who really caused a stir, adding their injection of testosterone and relaxed, laid back approach to the casting. On the runway, in front of the cameras, and when waiting in the wings – every dresser wanted a picture with these two gorgeous guys! I thought I’d also get in on the act, so I got one too!
