In my suitcase

My Color Palette

After several more or less fruitful attempts, I have finally found the secret to travel packing. When I pack my suitcase, I decide on a color scheme (which varies according to my mood, the season of the collection I’m currently presenting, and the country I’m visiting) and I select all the clothes and accessories I have in these colors from my wardrobe. Once I arrive I can then mix and match them to create as many different looks as possible with a minimal number of items. Color has always been a key element of my look and it’s like a common theme that follows me everywhere, even in my notebooks!

My In-Flight Outfit

Ever since I was a child in the 70s, I have been fascinated by clothes that create a longline silhouette. I love this chic yet comfortable look, which is particularly well suited to night-time travel when a sweater and pants might reveal a dreaded flash of underwear as they move apart.

Key Pieces

I love wearing the beautiful cashmere scarf (by Faliero Sarti for l’Eclaireur) given to me by my partner. I like to pair it with a leather jacket, which is great for creating a modern business look but also for giving a rock vibe to an evening outfit.

My Must-Have Jewelry Pieces and Accessories

In-flight: I love small bangles that I can wear over my jacket. I can slip them off in an instant when going through airport security and they don’t get tangled as I move. A watch – worn like a bracelet – because I like to let time fly! Lastly, a pair of faceted sunglasses from my Swarovski eyewear collection so that I can greet the first rays of sunshine when I arrive on the other side of the world, even if it is only 4 a.m. in Paris!

On arrival: I always wear a few cocktail rings and cuffs (just one on its own creates a great silhouette), a statement necklace for evening wear, and a collection of Slake bracelets in a range of colors to mix and match with different outfits.

Shoe withdrawal symptoms

I now anticipate that a lack of stilettos may leave me in a panic when I get to my hotel room, so I have learned to plan ahead.
