As a director, filmmaker, artist, designer and DJ, Vashtie Kola is a true renaissance woman. Growing up in Albany, New York, she later attended the School of Visual Arts, and has been a regular on the New York City scene for over a decade—yet her curatorial outreach and influence spans worldwide. Moving easily among fashion, film and music, Vashtie has emerged as an icon of young tastemakers. Her taste has earned her the moniker “Vashtie Kola: Curator of Cool.”
A self-professed “downtown tomboy that dabbles in girly styles from time to time,” Vashtie says “I’m very invested in my jewelry, being able to put on these things that are able to represent who I am.”
Vashtie stacks in style with the Flash ring’s shining metal playing off of a rich mix of bracelets, with the Stardust bracelets’ supple shape set against the stacked Stone, Friend, and Freedom bangles.
“I’m very big on personal creativity and also like honing in on what make you, you. People know what they like and don’t like and that visually they can express that.”
