The greatest artists, writers and creators have been romanced by the night sky; and what lay beyond the visible eye: the galaxies. Romancing the infinite, the unknown, the beauty of the mysterious that lays beyond comprehension is Swarovski’s latest Fall/Winter collection. With a deeply hued palette of black against chiaroscuro detailing, midnight blue and frosted clear crystals, the collections within offer an array of versatile pieces to suit any facet of a modern woman’s life.
A sensate expression of the intangible, the Fatal collection’s pearled expression mimics the silver shadows of the moon’s rays, with expressive shapes and exaggerated lengths. The Festival collection epitomizes this tribute to Supernovas, with an on-trend combination of pearls and metallic spheres.
“We worked on round and 3D volumes, new shapes like double open rings versatile silhouettes in a gradation of shades evoking eclipses, stars and constellations” shares Nathalie Colin, Creative Director of Swarovski.
Swarovski’s iconic color coating technique, Aurora Borealis, is used in the iridescent Fluorescent collection, applied not only on crystal, but on metal for the first time. The patina is an homage to the changing tides of the sea of stars above us, waxing and waning in color. The pieces from Fabulous take their icy inspiration from the frozen places in space-time, resting in a chilly celestial silence.
